Our process

How it works.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

Describe the problem or project. Call (425) 845-3535 or request an estimate online.

  2. 02

    Diagnose and plan

We trace the problem or check the panel's capacity, then explain what the job needs in plain English.

  3. 03

    Flat price and permit

You approve a written price. Where Washington requires a permit and inspection, we pull it.

  4. 04

    Install, test, clean up

We do the work, test every circuit and device, and leave the space clean.

Why it matters

Done right, the first time.

Safety first

Tripping breakers, warm outlets and flickering lights are warnings. Finding the cause early prevents bigger problems.

Ready for upgrades

Heat pumps, tankless water heaters and EV chargers often need panel capacity or a new circuit. We plan them together.

One visit, one crew

Plumbing, HVAC and electrical from one company, so a water heater or heat pump swap doesn't need three trades.

Done to code

Permitted, inspected work protects your home, your insurance and your resale.

Electrical work that comes with plumbing and HVAC upgrades

Many of the upgrades Western Washington homeowners make, such as swapping a gas water heater for a heat pump water heater, adding a heat pump or ductless mini-split, or installing a tankless unit, need a new circuit or more panel capacity. Handling the electrical side in the same project keeps it on one schedule and one price.

If you smell burning, see sparks or scorch marks, or an outlet or panel is hot to the touch, turn off the breaker if you can do it safely and call 911 if there is smoke or fire.

Pricing

What does electrical cost?

Every job is different, so we quote it individually: a written flat-rate price before any work begins.

What affects the price

  • Panel size and whether a service upgrade is needed
  • Wire runs: distance and access through walls, attics and crawlspaces
  • Number of circuits, outlets or fixtures
  • Charger or equipment specifications
  • Permits and inspection
  • Commercial or after-hours scheduling

Members pay less: the Dam Good Defenders Club waives dispatch fees ($250 business hours, $600 after hours) and takes 10–15% off every repair. See membership

Good questions

Electrical FAQ.

Don't see your question? Call or text (425) 845-3535. A real person answers, 24/7.

Do you do electrical work?

Yes. Beaver's Plumbing handles residential and commercial electrical work across Snohomish County and the Eastside, including panel upgrades, new circuits, EV chargers, outlets, lighting and troubleshooting.

Do I need a panel upgrade for a heat pump or EV charger?

Sometimes. It depends on your panel's size and what's already on it. We check the load before quoting, and if a new circuit fits on your existing panel, we'll tell you so rather than sell you an upgrade.

Do I need a permit for electrical work in Washington?

Most new wiring, circuits, panel changes and EV chargers need an electrical permit and inspection in Washington. We pull the permit where it's required and schedule the inspection.

Why does my breaker keep tripping?

Usually an overloaded circuit, a short or ground fault, or a failing breaker. Repeated tripping is a warning, not a nuisance, so don't keep resetting it. We can trace the cause and fix it.
